GEOGRAPHY& TOPOGRAPHY

A small European country, Satisto has a land area of 24,657 square kilometres. It borders only four countries: France, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland and is located just off the sea. Satisto is known for its mountains, lakes, forest and fjods which are its main feature. There are many rivers flowing through the region, as well. Satisto has many islands, but they are not quite heavily inhabited and are mainly used for fishing and farming. The capital city is built along the Ijssel river which is a Rhine branch. This is founded right where the Pardonna, which is the capital, tributary reaches the main channel, and the Satisto has called their city after the tributary because of this. Due to the above, possible natural hazards can take place such as: storms, strong winds, flooding, ice jams, rockslides as well as landslides. Satistos area comprises mainland and other islands.

Satisto has a population density of 97 inhabitants per km2 which is not many relative to other European countries. The low population density means that unemployment rates are lower and that there's more space for agriculture and forests. Most of the major cities are developed along the river Ijssel, including Pardonna, the capital city, where the population density is higher than in other regions of Satisto. Many people therefore tend to find jobs in the capital. Not many people have vehicles as they prefer motorcycles or mass transit instead. When people want to travel between cities, they tend to use trains. As mentioned, due to the fact that not a lot of people use cars, Satisto produces less pollution.
