RELIGION

There is a liberty of religion in Satisto, which ensures inhabitants may participate and believe in any faith, or be an atheist. However, Christianity is the big 59% of Satisto 's faith, 25% of Judaism and the other 16% are other religions.

Religion is belief in a god or gods and the activities that are connected with this belief, such as praying or worshipping in a building such as a church or temple. The main religion in Satisto is by far Christianity, as Satisto is surrounded by countries who are predominantly Christian. Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Its adherents, known as Christians, believe that Jesus is the Christ, whose coming as the messiah was prophesied in the Hebrew Bible, called the Old Testament in Christianity, and chronicled in the New Testament. The country's second-largest faith is Buddhism, since many refugees come from Asian nations, but 16 percent of the people do not participate in either faith. Buddhism is a faith that was founded by Siddhartha Gautama (“the Buddha”) more than 2,500 years ago in India. Its practice has historically been most prominent in East and Southeast Asia, but its influence is growing in the West, Satisto. Due to the large number of Catholics, many large cathedrals are constructed all over the country, frequently drawing visitors due to their magnificent architecture. For other faiths there are places of worship as well, and while the bulk of the populace is Christian, all people accept those with other beliefs.

The two big faiths in Satisto, Christianity and Buddhism, each have strong fundamental beliefs such as loving others and not punishing people for their 'sins' and many churches and other places of worship are organising events to support the vulnerable, such as providing food for the hungry or donating to impoverished families. In both major religions is included the concept of selfless devotion, which is one of the explanations why Satisto is so accessible to all religions. Christianity has always been strongly affected in Satisto 's culture, as the reason slave trading was rendered illegal in the past was that several of the church leaders had begun fighting against it, arguing that handling the slaves as though they were inferior went beyond Christianity's ideals.

CULTURE

As Satisto had a rather special culture similar to other European nations. Their customs, culture, food , clothes, language and more are quite fascinating because many of these have in the past been taken from other countries and were even produced by Satisto 's historical citizens.

Language

Satisto 's traditional language is Dutch, and this language is spoken by all Satisto born within the region. However, as it is taught in all the public schools, nearly all can understand English. Speaking English is useful to the country because it is the most widely spread language on earth, and is used in various areas such as business and tourism. Also, knowing English increases your chances of getting a good job in a multinational company within your home country or for finding work abroad. It's also the language of international communication, the media and the internet, so learning English is important for socialising and entertainment as well as work! Schools also provide options to learn other languages such as: Mandarin, Spanish, French and others. Together with English, Frisian, German, and Luxembourgish, Dutch is a West Germanic language. It derives from Low Franconian, the speech of the Western Franks, which was restructured through contact with speakers of North Sea Germanic along the coast about 700 ce.

Cuisine

Satisto 's food includes a broad range originating from a number of countries from Denmark, Norway, Finland, UK and more. The Frikadeller, which is normally meat but can be included in fish or other animals at Bergnasjion, comes from Denmark. They've had the Perunamuusi from the UK and Finland, a good side dish filled of mashed potatoes. There's plenty of French cuisine like Bœuf bourguignon too. Satisto is also really good at making bread and pastries which they learnt from the French. Any of such products were derived through colonialism in these nations. As Satisto's history has been heavily affected by many countries across the world, mainly because Satisto became a major trade port in the late 1600's. They were therefore also the very first Europeans to seek tea and they are renowned for their own variations of tea today. Next to that, Satisto also have plenty of potato and veggie meals but their desserts are what they are primarily remembered for.

Public Holidays

There are a few national celebrations, the biggest one being the Independence Day, where all citizens of Satisto will dress up in blue and yellow, the colours of the flag. Satisto will celebrate another few public holidays. Since Satisto is mainly a Christian country, they will definitely be celebrating Easter and Christmas. Satisto will also celebrate national day which is on the 30th of March. There are two main national holidays in Satisto: King's Day and Liberation Day. Chinese New year, Wesak are the religious holidays regarding buddhism.

Music/Cloting

Satisto’s music is similar to music in all of Europe. The instruments used are very traditional and built entirely of wood. For example , the main instrument to be played by Satisto’s is from the string family, violin and double bass. You’ll find plenty of musicians practicing certain instruments on the road. While there would be many people adopting movements such as pop and rap music in America, music originally originated from the string family.

In today's world, the clothes worn in Satisto are just like any other country in Europe, but with the very well fashionable people most similar to Italy. But if we go back to the history of the people of Satisto, they've had very traditional leather shorts and cotton shirts. People carry the colours of Satisto 's blue, yellow, green and white from the flag while observing national day.
